[D] The Site & Facilities Manager must approve general campsite areas in advance; these areas may not be less than 50’ from any flowing water or wetland. Latrines must be dug at least 50’ from any flowing water or wetland. Individuals and groups wishing to do wilderness camping on site must supply their own tents, dig their own latrines (dug at least 50’ from any flowing water or wetland), cover their latrines with 3-6” of duff, cut their own firewood (from dead-fall only), carry out their own trash, practice no trace camping and return the campsite area used to their natural state upon departure. Such groups must also name Westminster Highlands as an ADDITIONAL INSURED on the group’s insurance policy and provide a copy of that document to the Camping Association office.
[E] Day visitors may use picnic pavilions & bath house (when opened) at no additional charge. Although there are additional charges for day use of other buildings, this fee may be waived for those renting those buildings. When Geneva 2 is rented as a sleeping residence, the Day Use Dining Hall w/o Kitchen fee does not apply. When a Pavilion is rented without additional use of overnight buildings, fee includes use of one bathhouse. An additional maintenance deposit applies for all buildings (enclosed or not). This deposit applies to the total bill if no repairs or extra cleaning is needed by the CAPNWP staff.
[F] User groups residing on site for more than three nights may rent both the High Ropes and Low Ropes courses for $185.00 per three consecutive days plus $10.00/facilitator/hour.
[G] Groups renting the pool must provide a certified lifeguard for each 50 swimmers. If a CAPNWP certified lifeguard is needed, the group will be contracted and billed an additional $10.00/lifeguard/hour. Non-CAPNWP lifeguards must submit proof of current certification and receive a 30-minute orientation prior to initial pool use, done by the Site & Facilities Manager. To avoid charges for canceling the pool or CAPNWP lifeguard reservation, call the Site & Facilities Manager at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled pool time.
[H] Use of watercraft requires certified lifeguard supervision as per the pool guidelines list above. The maximum weight in a canoe is 500 lbs. (i.e., one adult and two children or two adults and one child). Canoes may be rented off-site by individuals and groups and they do NOT need to have a certified lifeguard if they sign a document that advises them to have one. The fee details are as follows:
a. Canoes – Off Site 1 includes 30 miles of shuttle service for both the canoes and the people, with a maximum of 18 people; additional miles are charged at $.75 per mile for each of two vehicles (canoe truck and bus). This option is contingent on CAPNWP having its own shuttle bus for people.
b. Canoes – Off Site 2 includes 30 miles of shuttle for only the canoes. Additional miles are charged at $.75 per mile for one vehicle (canoe-hauling truck).
